For
those that want it all, we offer a combination of
adventure, culture, beaches and fauna, including the
Jurassic dragons in Komodo .
Embarkation
is at Benoa harbor, Bali. The ship will leave around
9:00. After lunch you visit the traditional Bali Aga
village of Tenganan (East Bali). At night, you will
cross the famous “Wallace Line” on your way to
Lombok. The next day you can join a land excursion to a traditional
Sasak village,
and weaving village as well as
other highlights around West-Lombok. The ship
then sails to the little known island of Satonda with
its mysterious crater lake and beautiful coral gardens.
The next day you will encounter the fierce Komodo
dragons. A refreshing swim and some spectacular
snorkeling are planned for the afternoon. In the evening
our crew will prepare a romantic beach barbecue under
the stars. In Bima you will visit the local market, the
Sultan palace and a traditional village where the
inhabitants will demonstrate some dances and rituals
followed by a ride by local horse cart around town. On
our way back to Bali we will visit east Lombok with a
visit to a traditional pottery village, elementary
school and a small village where the villagers will
enthusiastically perform some local dances . Your last
day aboard the Ombak Putih starts with a relaxing
morning on a deserted beach at Gili Nanggu (just off the
coast of south Lombok). We will leave around lunch time
for the four hour sail to Bali.

Day
to day program Bali – Komodo - Bali (Lesser Sunda Islands)
Day
1 Embarkation
in Benoa, Bali around 09:00. Departure for Padangbai, East Bali.
After lunch there will be an excursion to a traditional Bali
Aga village. See beautiful rice terraces and panoramas. Of
course you can also stay aboard and explore the fine reef near
Padangbai. You will be served a special welcome dinner at sunset
when the ship sets sail for Lombok.
Day
2 Arrival at
Lombok island. You will make a half day tour in North Lombok to
a traditional village followed
by hike through beautiful rice fields. The scenery on the slope
of Mt. Rinjani is breathtaking…. During lunch sailing to
Lawang island for snorkeling and swimming. During a special
candle light dinner under stars the boat sails to Satonda
island.
Day
3 Arrival at
Satonda island. See the mysterious crater lake and relax on the
white sandy beach. The coral garden here is teeming with
colorful fish. Try some water skiing or sea anoeing, it is real
fun! In the early afternoon departure for Komodo National Park.
Day
4 The highlight
of this trip to the Lesser Sunda Islands may well be our visit
to Komodo National Park. Early morning hike to watch the
infamous Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Two rangers
will guide us to see these feared predators that can reach a
length of more than three meters and can weigh up to 150kg. Over
lunch we will sail to one of the beautiful surrounding islands
where you can explore the rich reef or bask in the sun. At night
the crew will prepare a BBQ at the beach. Late night departure
for Bima.
Day
5 From the
bustling capital of East Sumbawa, Bima, you can join a full day
trip to the local colorful market, the old sultan palace (now a
museum) and a traditional weaving village. Witness the daily
activities of traditional Sumbawanese village life. At night
sailing to west Sumbawa.
Day
6 Arrival in
East Lombok. You will visit a pottery village and a weaving
village followed by a visit to Loangkali where villagers will
perform some traditional dances. Lunch will be a traditional
Sasak meal. If time permits, you will swim and snorkel at a
nearby island. In the late afternoon the Ombak Putih starts
sailing to South Lombok.
Day 7
In the morning a last stop at a small island, off the
south west coast of Lombok. A last morning in paradise… At
noon the Ombak Putih will
set sail to Bali. Arrival in Benoa at around 17.00.
