Denpasar, the island’s capital is a bustling city that provides governmental, educational and health services, not only to its 600.000 inhabitants, but also to the entire island. At first we will take you to Kereneng Market, one of the busiest market in town. Here we can find large range of goods, from daily needs to ritual utensils. Afterwards, we will proceed to Satria Bird Market, with many kinds of tropical birds from all over Indonesia. Continuing the trip, we will stop at Downtown Denpasar. At close distances, we can see several interesting places, such as: Puputan Square, on September 16, 1906, this was the battleground between the invading Dutch troops and Badung people; Jagatnatha Temple, the town main temple with single shrine to The Supreme God (Sang Hyang Widhi), and Bali Museum, with large collection of prehistoric and historic items, high quality handicrafts, ritual utensils and daily tools used by the local people.  

BLT 10: Mengwi-Tanah Lot-Dinner with Dance

This is one of the ‘compulsory’ tours to see some of the most beautiful temples of Bali. Firstly we will stop at Mengwi, to visit the magnificent royal family temple of Taman Ayun (XVII century), surrounded by an artificial moat. Continuing the trip, we will proceed to Alas Kedaton, the fruit bats and monkey forest. With a small bag of peanuts, we will make many new friends here. Our next stop is the marine temple of Tanah Lot, which appears in every brochure on Bali. This lovely temple was built on a promontory offshore, truly a perfect setting to watch a stunning sunset (weather permitting).(Afterwards we will proceed to Sanur to have dinner accompanied by Balinese dances, Just for price 1)  

BLT 11: Uluwatu & Kecak Dance - Sea Food Dinner

Departure : 16.00 p.m. (Approx. 04 hours). 

We will take you to Uluwatu Temple, a cliff edge temple at 95 meters above sea level, with fantastic view to the Indian Ocean. This is the masterpiece of Nirartha, a holy priest from XVI century, and a great place to watch the sunset over the sea that filled with sailing outriggers (jukung). Afterwards, we will witness the performance of Monkey (Kechak) Dance, the most unique dance among Balinese dances. It is not accompanied by any instrumental music, but by a male chorus performed by over 70 men. Their hands and torso movements with sudden jerks swaying back and forth illuminated by torchlight, gives an unreal impression. In the middle of the circular stage, The Ramayana Story will be performed as the Hindu version of Romeo and Juliet but with happy ending.(Then we’ll take you to Jimbaran Bay for having seafood dinner, Just for Price 1)  

BLT 12: Ubud Art Village Morning Tour

A trip to Ubud, the cultural heartland of Bali, is an excellent way to get an understanding of Balinese art and culture. We will witness the Barong and Kris dance at Batubulan, then Celuk, home of gold and silversmiths, and Mas, famous for its fine woodcarvings. A visit to a local family compound in Singapadu will give us a new perspective on the way of life of this friendly people. Afterwards we will see the best examples of Balinese paintings of classical, naive, traditional and modern style in Ubud. Our last stop will be at Wanara Wana monkey forest where live dozens of long tailed macaques considered sacred by the locals. Then we will proceed to Petulu Village, famous for its white herons sanctuary.  

BLT 13: Ubud Art Village Afternoon Tour

Ubud and its surroundings is one of the most beautiful villages in Bali where we can find lots of talented artisans. We will see the hand made Batik painting at Tohpati, then Celuk, home of gold and silversmiths, and Mas, famous for its fine woodcarvings. A visit to a local family compound in Singapadu will give us a new perspective on the way of life of this friendly people. Afterwards we will proceed to Ubud, where we will see the best examples of Balinese paintings of classical, naïve, traditional and modern style. The dramatic view of rice terraces at Tegal Lalang is our next stop before watching the Kecak and Fire Dance at Batubulan. (Dinner at local restaurant, Just for Price1)
